Right Round Down Under.
Panamera reaches Porsche Centre Brisbane.
It was certainly fitting that the Porsche Panamera Right Round Down Under event arrived at Porsche Centre Brisbane in the week leading up to the national Panamera dealer launch. In fact the timing couldn’t have been better.
After leaving Bundaberg the morning of Friday 25th September, the Right Round Down Under team took time out for an incredible lunch at Berado’s Restarurant in Hastings Street, Noosa Heads, before soaking up the last 130km or so to arrive at Porsche Centre Brisbane at approximately 5pm.
Welcomed by approximately fifty Porsche enthusiasts, supporters and the entire Porsche Centre Brisbane team, the Panamera Right Round Down Under crew enjoyed arriving to a very enthusiastic group.
With 2,187km left to travel to Melbourne, on Saturday 26th September the Panamera Right Round Down Under vehicles and their drivers were well and truly ready to embark on the home stretch.
But not before the Porsche Club of Queensland played host to the crew, and the Panameras, at the Mount Cotton Hiil Climb facility just south of Brisbane. Several drivers, including Porsche Centre Brisbane Sales Manger – Jay McCormack, put the Panameras through their paces on the legendary tight, climbing single-lane time trial circuit.
While Jay recently spent a few days in the new Panamera in Melbourne, a hill climb time trial was not part of the agenda. And Jay was absolutely blown away by the capabilities of the Panamera on the challenging, and quite dramatic Mount Cotton circuit layout.
From Mount Cotton the Panamera Right Round Down Under event hit the road again. With only 2,187km left to travel, of a total trek around Australia of some 17,000km in only 33 days.
