Porsche Centre Brisbane partners with Myrtletown Films in ‘Mind Fire’
Product placement within feature films, over recent years, has been a key strategy in successfully taking premium and sports vehicles to their audiences. For this reason, Porsche Centre Brisbane were pleased to be able to provide several vehicles to top Queensland film production company Myrtletown Films, for use in its up-coming feature film Mind Fire.
Mind Fire is the first commercially viable feature film to be written, shot and produced locally, and some of Australia’s best acting talent is on the Sunshine Coast right now, with production under way. Shooting is taking place at several locations around the Sunshine Coast including Noosa and Noosa Springs.
Written by director and co-producer Tam Sainsbury and director of photography and co-producer Gareth Lee, Mind Fire features many famous Australian actors including Conrad Colby, Rowena Wallace, Lara Cox, Kym Jackson and Peter Sumner who played a part in a little American film called ‘Star Wars’. A psychological thriller, Mind Fire centres on a group of medical research scientists invited to study a gene in a rare strain of fire ants that could hold the key to human longevity. However a more sinister plot leads to murder and revelations about the mind-altering abilities of a genius scientist.
Mind Fire features a current model 911 Carrera Cabriolet as its ‘hero’ vehicle, and a new Cayenne grabs its fifteen minutes of fame several other scenes. Executive producer and Australian author Annette Sym, who just happens to be a Porsche owner herself, provided the introduction between Porsche Centre Brisbane and Myrtletown Films. Keep your eye out for Mind Fire, coming to a cinema near you later this year.
