The nerve center of Porsche expertise is the research and development centre outside the gates of Stuttgart. Here we administer around 3550 valid worldwide patents.
Every year we add 100 more while some expire. Our company has a long tradition in marketing copyrights which stretches right back to 1931 and the very beginnings of the design office of Prof. Ferdinand Porsche.

The Weissach Development Centre, which was realised in 1972 by Ferry Porsche, the son of the company founder and creator of the vehicles bearing the family name, is the logical progression of that design office - albeit using different tools and in different dimensions.
